The foundations of Tat Gıda were laid on June 22, 1967, in Mustafakemalpaşa, Bursa, under the name “Tat Konserve.” What began as a journey focused on tomato products has evolved into a globally oriented food brand emerging from Türkiye, backed by 58 years of deep-rooted experience in the agriculture and food industry, a strong corporate structure, and high brand value.
With advanced-technology production facilities located in Karacabey (Bursa) and Torbalı (İzmir), Tat Gıda delivers high-standard manufacturing across multiple categories, including tomato paste, tomato products, ketchup, sauces, canned foods, pickles, and ready meals. The Company holds sector leadership in the tomato paste category in terms of both volume and revenue, and manages its farm-to-table value chain with a strong focus on efficiency, traceability, and quality. By positioning trust, quality, and sustainability as strategic priorities, Tat Gıda creates long-term brand value both domestically and internationally, building enduring, trust-based relationships with its consumers.
At the core of Tat Gıda’s success lie its world-class production infrastructure, strong farmer partnerships established through a contract farming model, and a consumer-focused, innovative corporate culture. As one of the first companies in Türkiye to implement the contract farming model, Tat Gıda currently collaborates with over 1,000 farmers, including 500 contracted producers, and sources approximately 50% of its raw material requirements from contracted farmers. Through digital agriculture practices, field training programs, and data-driven production models, the Company supports the productivity and sustainability of Turkish agriculture.
Sustainability and digital transformation are central to Tat Gıda’s business model. Through renewable energy investments, carbon footprint reduction initiatives, and transparent, traceable supply chain practices, the Company integrates environmental and social responsibility into its long-term value creation approach. All processes, from agriculture to production, are managed holistically in line with principles of efficiency and environmental sensitivity.
Exports play a significant role in Tat Gıda’s growth strategy. Today, the Company exports to more than 50 countries across five continents, reaching consumers in a wide geography from the United States to Japan. Strengthening its European operations, Tat Gıda aims to enhance its international presence through its Netherlands-based subsidiary.
